PAUL FRANCIS JUNGHANS (Age 78)

A resident of Silver Spring, MD, departed this life suddenly on March 15, 2013 at Suburban Hospital. Born in Washington DC, February 28, 1935, he was the son of Michael Paul and Delia Junghans. Paul served in the United States Army before attending The University of MD and receiving his BA in Journalism. Paul married Judith Malcomson on June 29, 1957. Paul is preceded in death by his son, Michael Paul. He is survived by his wife, Judith Junghans; two sisters, Judy Cuniff and Mary Dwyer; his children, Deborah Junghans, Kevin Junghans, and Nancy Cassett (Craig); his grandchildren, Laura Addis (Les), Richard Bernstein (Jenn), Michael Cassett, and Matthew Cassett; his great-grandchildren, Irelyn Addis and Graycin Bernstein. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. John the Baptist Church, 12319 New Hampshire Ave., Silver Spring, MD on Wednesday, March 20, at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Paul’s memory to Food and Friends or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital .
