MARGARET B. LUDWIG
Margaret “Peggy” B. Ludwig, matriarch of the Henry R Ludwig family, died on January 27, 2013. Born on September 1, 1918, she lived most of her life in the New York metropolitan area. A member of the greatest generation, Peggy was intelligent and caring, with an infectious smile, always seeing the best in people. She served as trainer in the Adjutant General’s office during WWII. She spent her lifetime in various community service activities, but most memorable was her commitment to the Girl Scouts, serving as a leader for 40 years. Peggy joins her beloved husband Henry, her sister Muriel, and parents Margaret and Frank in God’s grace. She had immense pride and joy in her family. She leaves a family legacy of four children and their spouses; eleven grandchildren and their spouses; and five great-grandchildren. She provided endless patience, love, and guidance to all who had the pleasure to meet her. This world is a better place because of her. Memorial Mass will be held at St Peter’s Church Chapel, 2900 Sandy Spring Road, Olney, MD on Friday, May 17 at 1 pm. Inurnment Arlington National Cemetery Columbarium on Saturday, May 18 at 10 a.m. (if attending please assemble at the Admin. Bldg. by 9:30 a.m.).
